Be A Top Host

Trust and Safety

Last updated July 2026

Be A Top Host is a marketplace built on trust between independent Owners, Co-hosts, Service Providers, and Guests. These standards describe how we help keep the community safe.

1. Our community standards

Be A Top Host(“BATH”) connects independent people and businesses so they can arrange hosting and services with confidence. Everyone who uses the Platform is expected to act honestly, treat others with respect, follow the law, and honor the agreements they make. These standards form part of our Terms of Service.

BATH is a marketplace and is not a party to the agreements users make with one another. We provide tools and standards to support a safe community, but each user is responsible for their own conduct and decisions.

2. Identity and verification

We may ask users to verify certain information, such as an email address, phone number, or identity details, to help build trust across the community. Verification helps reduce fraud but is not a guarantee about any user’s identity, character, or reliability. Always use your own judgment before agreeing to a Task or stay.

3. Honest ratings and review integrity

Ratings and reviews help the community make informed choices. We expect reviews to be based on genuine, first-hand experience and to be free of abusive or irrelevant content. Buying, selling, or exchanging reviews, posting fake feedback, or otherwise manipulating reputation is prohibited. We may remove reviews that break these rules.

4. Prohibited conduct

5. Reporting a concern

If something does not feel right, tell us. You can report a user, a listing, a message, or a Task through the Platform or through our contact page. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

6. How we act on reports

We review reports and take action we consider appropriate, which may include requesting more information, issuing warnings, removing Content, or suspending or terminating access. We aim to be fair and consistent, and we may prioritize reports that involve safety. Acting on reports does not make BATH a party to any user agreement or responsible for user conduct.

7. Safety tips

For Owners and Co-hosts: keep communication and coordination on the Platform, confirm details before granting access to a property, and be clear about expectations for each Task.

For Service Providers: confirm the scope, location, and timing of a Task before you begin, keep records of your work, and raise concerns early through the Platform.

For Guests: review listing details and house rules, keep messages on the Platform, and report anything that seems unsafe or misrepresented.

These tips are general guidance, not a guarantee of safety or outcome. Please also review our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle your information.
